With regards to Primary Sources...they are great, but mostly for older grades. While researching WebQuests, I found very little on the first and second grade levels that were age appropriate, interesting, and worth the time spent on it. That won't keep me searching though. I think it would be great for enrichment students, independent study, and perhaps center time when a parent volunteer is available.
I also have to keep in mind that 6 & 7 year olds are just learning their keyboarding and word processing skills. Internet searching has to wait until some of these important skills are practiced. This all take time!
